Best Casual Restaurants in Iowa

Too loud and being seated next to the door and being blasted with cold air everytime the door was opened was no fun. Most likely not coming back.

It was our first time atEatery A. We were greeted warmly and showed our seat immediately everyone was very friendly and kind and our waitress. Izzy, greated us within a minute of being seated and served us water immediately. She was attentive cleared the plates. Every time she came by the experience was a 10 out of 10 thank you.

Great bar! Only thing is we saw it was happy hour between 5-7pm but we got there at 645pm and was told it was over. Drinks were still great!

First time visiting Mulberry Street Tavern and we will definitely go back. Wonderful and well- timed service. Our server Andre was one of the best and able to thoughtfully answer any questions about the food. Overall a really awesome experience, setting, and food.

Food and cocktails (which are never cloyingly over-sweet as is common in DSM) are consistently well-balanced and excellent in every respect. My lovely dining companion, an amazing cook in her own right, loves it here, and trust me, that is a very high bar. Only demerit in my opinion is the loud Manhattan-esque techno music that makes it hard to hear people. The younger and less curmudgeonly might love that , though. We will go back.
