Best Casual Restaurants in Highlands - Bardstown Rd / Taylorsville Rd

Menu with a variety of items. This was in the midst of a snowstorm so a few items were understandably not available. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. The food was tasty.

We had a really great experience at The Fat Lamb on 1/3/25. Austin was our incredible server. He checked in with us often, gave us great suggestions, and helped us coordinate more of a family style meal where we all got to share many different dishes. We had a party of 7 total and he did a really great job of taking care of us. The food was extremely flavorful - everything came out at the same time and everything was hot. Our party’s favorites were the short rib, the duck breast, the cauliflower, and the arancini. Honestly, I don’t think there’s a thing on the menu that wouldn’t be enjoyable. Our party did not have any cocktails, but they all looked delicious - a little on the pricey end, however. Overall, we will definitely be back for a visit. I highly recommend coming to The Fat Lamb.

A terrific local experience where the attention to detail is impressive. All of the choices we ordered from the menu were excellent. We will definitely go again.

I have celiac disease and hence am gluten intolerant. The manager came by and sat down with me to go over the menu and discuss options for me. First time this has ever happened. Also, we had a hearing impaired person in our party and asked the waiter to have the music turned down in our area and they cheerfully complied and asked how the new level was. Super pleased with their attentiveness!

I had a business group of 10 and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience. I had the mahi mahi again and it was as delicious as as I remembered. The desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommend.
