Sweet Lula’s Restaurant is a BYOB avant-garde unique Brunch and Dinner romantic cosy dining experience in Pitman, New Jersey. We won an award for our famous sweet potato sausage corn chowder. We are close to Rowan University.We are family owned and operated by executive chef Anthony Asbury (a very famous Puppeteer) he has an Emmy displayed in the restaurant and has worked with Jim Henson and Steven Spielberg. We also play movies which we project onto a large screen which is very unique ! We are a free-flowing scratch kitchen plus veggie, vegan, and gluten-free friendly. Keep your eyes out for Chef Anthony's British wife, Lula (a previous famous pop star and Model in the 80s), she may be singing a few songs on Friday and Saturday nights. We open Thursday to Sunday for Dinner 5pm-9pm and Brunch Saturdays and Sundays 10am-3pm. Come try our food and see what everyone is talking about. Steak and Seafood is our speciality.     We were impressed with the Thanksgiving prix fixe meal. The food quantity and quality were very good. The service and atmosphere were also impressive. Only one negative was the food temperature. The soup and main meal were not warm. Everything else was so good it was easy to overlook that issue.

    We were greeted, seated and then treated to a lovely dining experience. We started with a couple of the specialty cocktails-Romarin and Nouveau Basilic: their pour was generous as our drinks lasted through our meals. A bonus of a basket of bread was brought to our table, such a rarity! Baguette, sourdough and what seamed a seasonal bread with cranberry and walnuts with beurre---seemed such a treat! Our waiter was attentive and made well informed dinner suggestions after asking us our preferences and we enjoyed the beef bourguignon; duck a l'orange and roasted chicken. Parc has made our top 10 list of places to eat while in Philly!
