- MMirandaSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWow what an amazing place with amazing food and amazing staff. They really know how to vet and train the staff here. I was throughly impressed. Our host taking us to our seats said something so thoughtful it nearly melted my heart. I commented on him having to work for Thanksgiving and he said yeah well they gave us food for Thanksgiving and it is so delicious so I’m pretty grateful for that and I was just like oh my god what a sweetie!More infoIsland PrimePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.6
- KKathrynSan Francisco Bay Area •13 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe prefer to sit on the deck where it is always more intimate, quieter, away from the busy intersections. The San Diego skyline is crisp in every direction. Heaters keep you from getting chilled in the cooler nights. Food and service never disappoint. Bali Hai has been our go-to spot since I was a child 60+ yrs ago for celebrations. Just recently we've been taking advantage of their holiday buffets; OMG, beautiful and delicious!More infoBali Hai RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Polynesian• Shelter Island / San Diego Bay•4.6

- MMichaelVancouver / British Columbia •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoWe met up with old friends at Dockside1953 for an anniversary celebration. The atmosphere around the fire pit table was impressive and kept us warm during the evening. The service was excellent and not rushed at all. Our server was always on cue when pouring our wines and bringing the next drink. The food was outstanding. Both my friend and I had the filet mignon. We're both meat connoisseurs, and the steak here was the best I've had at any restaurant (or elsewhere for that matter). My buddy is a San Diego resident (I'm from Canada), and he'd never eaten here before. Dockside 1953 has become his new favorite restaurant. Our wives had the chicken and drugstore burger and loved it. Highly recommend.More infoDockside 1953Price: Moderate• Californian• Mission Beach•4.5
