- AAndreaToronto / Ontario •12 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is my second time dining at Frenchy Bar et Brasserie and once again, it did not disappoint! We had a lovely dinner with friends, celebrating a belated birthday. The food was divine! It was great to see Coquilles St. Jacques on the menu. The scallops were delicious, as was the Bouillabaisse, which followed! Our birthday girl had never had Braised Beef Bourguignon and I am happy to write that not only was she pleased with her choice, but she will return on other occasions, for more! One guest, a vegetarian, had a few allergies. Neaz, our server, was quick to make note of them and arrange a fresh pasta sauce base, without onions, to accommodate. Service was friendly and efficient; allowing us time to chat and catch up on all our news. Wait staff did not hover; nor were they intrusive. There was only one time where the music volume was turned higher, thus making it difficult to chat and hear the others. We spoke to the manager who quickly reduced the volume of music down to acceptable levels. Craving some French cuisine? I highly recommend Frenchy Bar et Brasserie. You won't be disappointed. - DDanToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 11, 2025The food, service and atmosphere were spot on for the celebration of a mentor turning 90. We loved it! Food, people and the Champaign. The only disappointment and actually surprise was as follows: I told the bartender about the 90th bday celebration the 6 of us were having, please bring us a bottle of Champaign and 6 glasses. All cool. And he said we will bring something special at the end of brunch. The waitress brought a beautiful mix of three desserts which tasted amazing. What surprised me was when I got the bill was we were charged for them. Rather than make a stink amongst very special guests, I paid the bill. However, a couple of days have gone by now and it still bothers me. Would I go back again for another special celebration and recommend to others? For sure! It’s just unfortunate that this impression of a complimentary thank you is what you remember.More infoConsort Bar BrunchPrice: Moderate• Breakfast• Financial District•4.3
