Best Brunch Restaurants in Ottery St. Mary

We were a family group of six. It was a nice Xmas feeling with the people around us. The food was just ok, some of the group enjoyed all the courses but majority thought it was very average for the money we paid. Service was very good, servers were cheerful and obliging. We did enjoy ourselves and there was plenty to eat. Was it value for money ? Not sure but you have to pay a lot extra when people work on Xmas day.

The service was amazing. I had the scallops to start fresh and well cooked. The beetroot starter was well presented and flavours well twinned. The venison and steak prepared to request and the extra garlic mayo was the best ever tasted. Cocktails and pebbledbed sparkling rose spectacular. Artic Roll desert so yummy pared with the Artic cocktail a treat not to miss. Overall the best meal since they have opened. Better than Lympstone Manor.

Lovely ambience, old with the new. Nice food and good service except at the end when we had to go to the bar for the bill and then again to pay for it. 10% charge is automatically charged so expected the full service for that.

As always great service and wonderful food at a very reasonable price. Given that it is 23rd December and the place was packed the staff were friendly, attentive and the service was excellent. We didn’t feel rushed and nothing was too much trouble.

Great good, lovely friendly staff and amazing setting. Plus we sat at a cosy table in the window. Perfect.
