- SStevenVIPGreater Boston •22 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI had a marvelous meal here beginning with the outstanding Stuffed Artichoke followed by the delicious Veal Chop Parmigiana. The portions were large; the service was great; the flavors were wonderful and the ambiance was pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you are in the Providence area.More infoAnthony’s Authentic Italian CuisinePrice: Moderate• Italian• Providence•4.9
- EElizabethRhode Island •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoThis is a great place to find good wine in all price ranges and with an experienced, knowledgeable wait staff. Our waiter knew how the food was prepared, how to pronounce it, and from what region it derived. He also answered our questions about the wine very well. The veal chop that my husband had was cooked perfectly and was delicious. I enjoyed every course, too. I would recommend this restaurant for those who care about good food and who might find the old house where this restaurant operates and its homey amenities charming. It's a bit tight up the staircase, and one gets the sense of eating in Nonna's dining room, but that makes it a culinary experience worth making the trip to lower Thames Street.More infoMamma Luisa Italian RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Newport•4.7
- LLisaVIPGreater Boston •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 30, 2024Best restaurant in all of RI! The staff are tremendous especially our waiter Dan. The prices are far less expensive for the same meal in Paris or NYC. They have amazing soufflés and fabulous cocktails like the French martini. Go asap you won ’t regret it!More infoChanterellePrice: Expensive• Contemporary French• Newport•4.8
- NNormanVIPNew York City •8 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 30, 2024We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation, and did we get lucky! Our server rushed in an order of oysters to get the ‘buck a shuck’ deal before 7. Great service! Our food was all excellent thought I’d have liked a bit more on the plate 😀More infoScales & Shells - NewportPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Newport•4.5
- AAndreaDallas - Fort Worth •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024The service was amazing, and the staff did a great job of providing good tips for what to order. As a Hispanic person, it’s been hard to find authentic Hispanic food in the area, but the food here reminded me so much of home. All of the salad and dips were delicious, the enchiladas verdes??? If you’re not getting the enchiladas, you’re wrong. I’m sure everything else on the menu is just as amazing, but the enchiladas were soooo good. The margs here are also good, I got 2 different ones (Prickly Pear and the Dama) and both were strong, fresh drinks. And last but not least, the tres leches. It comes in a small bowl but after eating everything else, it’s the perfect amount. It’s served with a scoop of icecream and it is AMAZING. I’m not a food critic or a professional by any means, but this is probably my new favorite place in Newport. If you need an excuse to have the best Hispanic food in town, THIS PLACE IS IT!!More infoLa VecinaPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Newport•4.6
