From the host and hostess, to the waiter, to the busboys, everyone is on top of their game. Our excellent waiter made spot on wine, appetizer and entree recommendations. The lemon pasta was very yummy. The halibut special was delicious, perfectly cooked in a tasty, light sauce. The thinly sliced ribeye over broccoli rabe was simple, plain and thoroughly enjoyed. The atmospheric warmth and “neighborhood gem” vibe was palpable. (Sadly, it’s not in our neighborhood.) The birthday cookies and grappa were lovely, complimentary additions to an already great meal. Sandro’s is worth the 30 block uber ride, even on a frigid January evening…. We will happily return.More infoSandro's RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Upper East Side•4.9
- SSandraNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThere were eight of us meeting, some of whom were coming after their book group ended. The meeting lasted longer than expected, so some folks were quite late in arriving. The restaurant was patient and we had drinks and an appetizer while waiting. Once everyone arrived, dinner was superb and the ambience and ability to converse in the back room are quite wonderful. The service, as always, was great. Alsace is our favorite restaurant. Thanks!More infoCafe d'AlsacePrice: Moderate• French• Upper East Side•4.8
