Server was friendly and very professional. Our only complaint was the fact that there was a draft from the front doors staying open in the 41 degree rainy weather. The host at VRG kindly walked us to the Vic’s on the River entrance and explained about going through the coffee shop and using the elevator to go up four floors to the restaurant. Come to find out they have a street level entrance that we used after dinner. We had a reservation and they let our son, whom we were meeting, be seated at 5:45 or we would have been 10 minutes late so that was good. The atmosphere was great and we had a table with a window facing the river. Our server, Alix was very friendly and knowledgeable of the entire menu. She took our cocktail orders and brought us out a basket of homemade biscuits. The martini’s were very good and my son’s Malbec was good also. My son and I had the braised short ribs that came with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans which was very tender and tasty and my wife had a Caesar salad. We found the prices to be very good. We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our Savannah dining list but will find a closer parking garage and now know about the street level entrance.More infoVic's on the RiverPrice: Expensive• Southern• Historic District - North•4.7
