Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store. T54 Restaurant & Bar offers modern, Italian cuisine in a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. Husband and wife owners, Massimo Schiavon & Antoinette Borromeo, provide an extension of their home to guests. A few of their signature dishes are Trofie Pesto Genovese, Rigatoni Bolognese and a Pasta on the Wheel. Other delights include a Tuscan Roasted Half Chicken, Grilled Whole Branzino, and a beautifully presented Pot of Mussels. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu. The 30 foot bar that can accommodate up to 14 people for cocktails or dinner, as well as an authentic Italian happy hour - Appertivi from Tuesday - Thursday. The inviting patio provides outdoor dining on weather permitting evenings.     A wonderful experience! We went to celebrate our anniversary & it was terrific! Our server Andreas was very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine and food selections and everything he recommended was absolutely delicious (e.g: salmon / tuna tartare, calamari, Branzino, etc). Having just returned from Liguria, it was a very special place. Will definitely come back & recommend to others! It’s s lovely spot also, can sit at the bar or reserve a table.

    Great experience overall! Friendly staff and excellent food. Went with wife and two kids (6 &2). Everyone had a great time and liked their food. Bonus for being close to the train and a giant model train to climb on next door, which the kids loved. Worth a visit and will go back again.

    Bucks County needs a venue like Frost. Site is tiny which is great except when you are seated near loud, obnoxious guests. Prices are high, yes. But most reviews fail to understand that there is no cover or music charge. Cocktails are crafted perfectly. The tapas were outstanding, the main entree just ok. They recognized my wife's birthday which spoke volumes because it means they read the notes left for the restaurant which are usually overlooked. Nice work. Well worth a visit. We will return

    The food is always excellent, with innovative twists. The service was great, the staff is always pleasant, and you're never rushed. Brunch today, but lunch, dinner, or just drinks, a trip to The Water Wheel is NEVER a disappointment!
