Curated by celebrated chefs Daniel and Jean-Jacques from the South Coast "le Shak", hosted by the ubiquitous and ever charming Jules, this Derrière manages to wet your appetite with their authentic French dishes, from the simple poireaux vinaigrette of our childhood to the melting slow cooked lamb shank. Service is continuously improving after the natural teething period, and the exquisite wines and cocktails will keep you company while you can watch the buzzing kitchen prepare your meal "à la minute". Walked from the Gap to this out of the way restaurant and really enjoyed it. The beach front setting allowed us to walk right from the table to the beach for sunset shots. Service by Josh was excellent. The salad was ample to share and the lobster linguini and the truffle rissotto were delicious. All in all a beautiful night out.

Our server Shomo was very engaging and attentive. He provided awesome recommendations for both food and drink, and even got not one, but both mixologists to come to our table to find out exactly what we wanted to drink. Overall we had a great time!

One of the reasons we came back to Waves. We love the food offering here and the staff are lovely. Sure it’s a mix of different ‘Asian’ dishes and there can be some unexpected combinations, but it tastes good! Some people main about ‘authenticity’. Please…if you want authentic sushi, go to Japan.
