The experience surpassed my expectations, every dish was delicious with a bit of spice but not to overwhelm. My dinner companion does not eat meat and our waiter suggested the Dan Dan noodles without pork and it was a home run, she's currently looking up a recipe online to attempt it at home lol. She had the prawn dry pot as well and we both did the happy dance when tasted. I was not disappointed with my duck entree that came with buns, duck was cook to perfection and the sauce was perfect for that meal. We split the coconut cotta dessert, different for us but a welcomed change, tasty yet light. We will definitely return with others to experience Shan. The hostess (Josephine) leads us to a table directly next to the door. When I requested a table in the back (at least 3 open tables) she said in an extremely rude manner that she would not give me a table in the back and would only offer me the table next to the door. She further angrily stated that she has 64 reservations for that night. That’s fine but if there are many open tables when a patron arrives they should be given the opportunity to have a table that is not next to the door where the cold air hit us every time the door opened. The reservation is for a certain time NOT for a specific table so why was I denied the table I requested when there were so many open tables. The waitress was great, the food was delicious and a good value for the price. The food was absolutely amazing. The bread was freshly made and perfect, the cod was creamy and soft while having this warm homemade feeling to it. The pistachio crème burle was the perfect finishing touch to the meal. Very well priced, extremely satisfied.
