Estragon Tapas Bar: your slice of Spain in the South End. Estragon is owned and operated by Julio de Haro and Lara Egger. Voted Best of Boston 2023 by Boston Magazine! Chef Julio was born and raised in Madrid and his cuisine reflects the fresh simplicity of traditional Spanish fare. Many of the dishes are family recipes, served straight from Abu Luisa's kitchen to your table. To complement Estragon's extensive tapas menu, you'll find a unique cocktail list, a selection of local and craft beers, and an all-Spanish wine list with references spanning both the country's established and emerging wine regions. Restaurant was outstanding in every way…very favorable experience. One small recommendation: Replace the barstools which were very small in seating area (a larger person cannot sit comfortably)and the seats were a bit slippery, so coats fall easily (which happened) and a person could actually slip/fall forward.

We love this place -- friendly staff, great food, good wine. The polpo a la parilla was especially good. We went there for our anniversary, and were happy we did.

Attentive service and delicious food. We had a party of 10 and our server suggested and crafted a menu that would showcase some specials and some favorites. We had an absolute delightful time and will go back again. Highlights: the octopus, the artichokes and the lamb.
