Estragon Tapas Bar: your slice of Spain in the South End. Estragon is owned and operated by Julio de Haro and Lara Egger. Voted Best of Boston 2023 by Boston Magazine! Chef Julio was born and raised in Madrid and his cuisine reflects the fresh simplicity of traditional Spanish fare. Many of the dishes are family recipes, served straight from Abu Luisa's kitchen to your table. To complement Estragon's extensive tapas menu, you'll find a unique cocktail list, a selection of local and craft beers, and an all-Spanish wine list with references spanning both the country's established and emerging wine regions. Esteagon is one of our favorite Spanish restaurants in the USA. The tapas are always excellent. This time we had Jamon ibérico, Tortilla española, Gambas al ajillo, Grilled octopus, and Oxtail. For dessert we ordered a delicious Tarta de queso with berries. Out waiter did an outstanding job.

Estragon is a great place to eat, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The server was excellent and even called me when a member of my party left a sweater there.

Estragon is a hidden gem. We had a party of 7, the waiter suggested 3 courses of tapas - 4 to start, 4 in the middle, and 2 at the end. It was all served with perfect timing, not all at once but one or 2 at time so we could enjoy them. And his choices were great - broiled brussel sprouts, prosciutto, shrimp, scallops, grilled skirt steak, grilled jalepeno peppers, artichoke hearts, croquettes, brazed pork - it was all to die for!! We will definitely go back.
