Emmer & Rye is a restaurant designed around the farmer’s haul, featuring a menu that changes daily with a focus on seasonal and local cuisine. Heirloom grains are milled fresh for house made pastas, breads, and desserts, whole animal butchery is done on site, and an extensive in house fermentation program captures flavors at their peak and preserves them for the off season.

Nice restaurant, the menu was unusual and the sweet potato tamal was delicious.

This restaurant offers a great dining experience with excellent food and friendly service. Most dishes were outstanding, especially the French Raviolis and all the pasta options, which were flavorful and perfectly prepared, though the Carnitas were slightly over-salted. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided excellent recommendations, while the Gireldine and Fox Tail cocktails were perfectly crafted. However, despite having a reservation and arriving on time, we had to wait over 15 minutes to be seated, which was disappointing. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot worth visiting again!

We'd been wanting to go to Emmer & Rye for years but somehow never made it happen. That changed last night and wow, it was worth the wait! We went with a party of 5 and ordered 90% of the menu bc we wanted to try everything. Literally every dish was outstanding. My personal favorites were the pappardelle and the cabbage. Omg, and do not pass on the bread! We got two orders - and I loved the yogurt butter. Wow. But the crown jewel of the entire meal for me was the citrus sorbet. Perfect way to end a very, very large and rich meal, but also just utterly delicious in it's own right. I will dream of that sorbet for a looooong time. and may make a return visit soon just for that. Great job, Emmer & Rye team!

We were in town for my husband’s work trip and I had read about this place as being a favorite spot of some locals. The menu changes often and they try to use fresh/seasonal ingredients. Our waiter recommended that we do 4-5 items off the menu since it is somewhat of a tapas place. We had the Jonny Cakes, Cacio e Pepe, Carnitas and Berkshire Pork. All were very good- the pork was my favorite.

Food was excellent and being able to sit in front of the kitchen and watch food being prepared was also a fun treat.
