   Food was great and excellent service. Multiple people checking on us throughout the night with a packed restaurant. Water glass was never empty and never waited too long for food. Server always had a smile on his face along with everyone else who came by. Most tender octopus I have ever had and the Lamb chops were delicious. Even my son wiped his shirt rib plate clean. Was celebrating my wife’s birthday and they even brought her a complimentary crème brûlée unexpectedly. Will definitely come back. Love finding new places that impress. My only knock is that it was a little noisy and hard to hear each other at a normal talking volume. But wouldn’t let that stop me from coming back.

   Chris Whiteside made our evening. We went for my partners birthday and he made it such an amazing and memorable evening. Food was spot on as always!

   Overall, this is my favorite place to eat out. Food is always fresh and from scratch. Nothing was sitting on a steam table or under a heat lamp waiting for someone to order it. And the varieties fine. We shared the charcuterie that I had a pea salad, crabcake, and some Chardonnay. My wife had fonder with orzo, and our friends both had short ribs. Everyone was satisfied.

   Our favorite dining spot on the Jax Beaches, we dine here whenever we come to town (we're from Tampa). Terrific menu - they do red meat, seafood, and fowl (well, duck) equally well - daily specials are always enticing, and you can't go wrong if you go off-menu. Pretty good wine list - we have always found something we like. Desserts are good, too, though we often don't have room for it. Service is always topnotch - friendly, efficient, yet not intrusive - thank you, Madison. We make it a point to dine on their "outdoor" patio - while it is open-air, it is enclosed and has a roof. We've dined out there during a thunderstorm and we were as snug as if we were indoors. We always visit here in late October/early November, so the evening temperature outside is pleasant - probably not so much in August. But we find the patio more intimate and substantially quieter than the indoor dining room, which can get boisterous.

   Terrific evening. First visit, with dear, very worldly friends from London. All four of us were thrilled. One salad and three escargots to start, a gargantuan pork chop, same veal chop, mussels and another dish I can’t recall (but liked by the orderer), Chalk Hill Chardonnay and three different desserts (two crème brûlées), one apple tart and a cheese cake. Whole experience was very enjoyable save extremely cold dining room!

   Reservation was at 8 pm we were not seated until 8:35 which was very disappointing especially after we were called during the day to confirm we would be there for 8 pm. Food and waiter Shea were exceptional and di make up for the delay but would have been a more perfect experience all around if we were seated closer to reservation time.
