   We used to visit this restaurant when they had one in Los Angeles on Wilshire Boulevard. Sadly, that is closed many years ago and this is the only one left. Yes it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive on a Friday night to get there, but it’s definitely worth the drive. The food is exceptional. The tortillas are freshly made with orange honey butter And the combo plates are the way to go. We had a really nice server. Her name was Cynthia and she was outstanding. I love this place and will make the drive as often as I can because it’s worth it. Highly recommended.

   I stopped in my way back from South Coast Plaza to my home in PV because I love the tortillas and had a 25% off coupon. I was seated quickly, and my drink order was taken right away, but it took forever to get tortillas. My poor server was the bartender, who was literally running around to keep tables clean, serve drinks, bring chips, serve food, check on folks, and deal with payment. He was so nice, cheerful and helpful but you need to give him some help. I left a 25% (pre coupon) tip for his hard work. The food (steak quesadillas) were gross. So many “doings” in the meat. I took most of it home and threw it out. I will still go there, but the food needs to improve to better quality - prices are not cheap. I expect better quality.

   I believe because it was a Saturday the staff looked overwhelmed. Orders were coming out a bit slow and had to ask for utensils considering our reservation was for 4 people, there was only 2 sets of utensils.

   Restaurant was understaffed and we had to wait a long time to get service. A refill on soda or tortillas usually takes about 5 minutes to find a server.

   The waiters are always bland. They seem annoyed and bothered. They bring tea don’t ask if we need sweetener… then leave and don’t return for a long while. They are just not friendly… the food is fine. The tortillas are amazing and the chicken in the cream sauce is good as is the chili verde. They changed the chocolate fountain to Hershey syrup… very disappointing. It’s really not worth going here… it’s $42 plus tax.

    We had my dad’s birthday dinner at this place. We were a big party and the service was bad and food too. We mostly asked for the carne asada and shrimp plate and meat was hard. We had to get our waiter ourselves. The manager checked on us but didn’t make a difference in the service.
