Driftwood Kitchen and Stateroom bar is a casual restaurant that serves ocean-to-table fare next to a lovely waterfront view. Helmed by executive Chef Rainer Schwarz, the menu showcases an eclectic selection of seafood dishes that highlight the diversity of the Pacific. Menu highlights include hand-shucked oysters, salmon, octopus, swordfish and lobster, prepared with nothing but the finest and freshest ingredients. Driftwood also offers alternative menu items for landlubbers, such as dishes made of chicken or steak.

Driftwood Kitchen and Stateroom Bar is open all through the week. In addition to its dinner menu, the restaurant serves brunch 7 days a week between 9 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. The airy dining room is a great place to enjoy a casual business lunch or a fun outing with friends. Driftwood Kitchen also boasts a bar, open from 9am - 10:30pm everyday.

    We had reservations and got there a little early but they sat us right away. We started of with 1/2 dozen oysters and the bread both very good. Our drinks were good and the wait staff was fantastic always clearing things right away and checking on us. For dinner my husband had the Crab salad and I had the Yellow fin tuna which was cooked perfectly.

    Getting there prior to sunset and with a reservation is key. Seating was a little cramped, I felt like our table was very close to the next table over. Started off with the chowder and Parker rolls. Very good. Great amount of clams in chowder. Had the scallops and ribeye for dinner. The scallops were perfection, great flavors. The ribeye and creamed kale were great. Although not the best steak we’ve had. All in all lovely sunset dinner. Would probably just eat below at The Deck next time.

    We used to come here when it was the Beach House, however the whole experience as the Driftwood Kitchen was wonderful and did not disappoint. AMAZING experience all around.

    We’ve been coming for 10 years. We would save it for special occasions and use it as a way to show off Laguna Beach to out of town friends . Last night will be our last visit. The food was meh, yet pricey, and the service was terrible.
