All of us here love food and enjoy sharing that with you. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the historic dining room, and the cozy New England tavern, near Manchester VT, allows guests to relax and enjoy the food, the wine, and the friendly Southern VT hospitality. As a member of Vermont Fresh Network, we support as many local farms and businesses as possible, and our food includes the freshest ingredients. Our cuisine is uncomplicated, and bistro-style. It demonstrates classic culinary techniques and traditions, with regional Southern Vermont influences. To showcase Vermont’s four unique seasons, the menu changes frequently.

My new husband and I, cannot say enough about our dining experience at the Dorset Inn. We dined there for dinner, on December 1, 2024. The ambience, service, and food was incredible . The bread pudding was so delicious, and a perfect ending to an amazing evening. A huge shout out to our waitress, Rachel! She did not disappoint us! Outstanding food, service and vibes. We had Rachel and she was great server. From suggesting appstore drinks to fixing the wobble on our table, she was awesome.

We ate at the Dorset Inn restaurant several times, as we were staying there. Service is always very attentive. Reservations are honored in a timely fashion. Burgers, pastas, salads, specials, etc. were all excellent. The dining room and the pub can be a little more noisy than the large cozy dining room. You can eat at the bar. There’s a nice roaring fireplace in the pub area as well.

We have been frequent diners at the Dorset Inn, all times of year and all meals. They have now taken a chain restaurant approach with several servers involved in your meal, not very friendly and with a great loss of ambiance and character. Food prices have also risen with significant reduction in quality.

We love the Dorsey Inn! They never disappoint. We love everything about the place! Staff is wonderful, polite, and respectful. Service and food is top notch. Can’t wait for next time!
