Our restaurant and wine bar has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in the City of Fairfax for over twenty years. It all starts with our unique brick oven, one of the first wood-fired ovens in NOVA, and our fresh pastas made in-house every day. The scents of garlic, tomatoes, and herbs follow you through the restaurant as you see the hand-painted murals covering our walls. These personal touches provide a cozy setting that takes you away to Italy and is perfect for any occasion. Our menu has a range of dishes, from traditional Italian offerings to unique personal selections. We are dedicated to using fresh ingredients from our own garden and sourced from other local farms. We’ve always enjoyed this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience last night was disappointing. The pasta did not seem handmade at all, despite what we expected. I ordered the branzino, and while the fish itself was decent, the base it was served on was completely unappetizing and inedible. We also tried the white pizza, which was equally underwhelming. It lacked garlic and several other ingredients that were listed on the menu. Overall, it was a far cry from the quality we’ve come to expect here.

As always, a fantastic memorable dining experience. On spot, fresh seafood dishes, perfectly cooked pasta and Old World style meatballs. Come a few minutes early and enjoy a handcrafted artisan cocktail before dinner. We did and loved it!

We saw your name at the George Mason basketball game where you are a sponsor and it reminded me to include you in our list of restaurants to visit and I am glad we did. We had eight people for my wife's birthday dinner. All the dishes were excellent from the grilled octopus appetizer to the ossu bucco and short rib lasagna. And many others. And then I received the bill that was extremely affordable. Great all around experience and we will come here more often now.

Our server Emily was fantastic! Chicken parm was delicious but edges were overcooked. The pancetta on the carbonara was chewy and crunchy is preferred. Overall love this place and usually the food is a 5/5. Also wish the tables for 4 were a bit bigger. Hard to fit everything on it especially when 3 of our 4 meals came with a side of spaghetti. Kudos to Emily. She was hustling many tables. She was personable, did a great job and was very efficient. Next time we come we would ask if she’s working and ask to be seated one of her tables.

We booked a table on New Year’s Eve. When I made the booking I was presented with two options: either their fixed $75/person 4 course New Year’s Eve OR a standard reservation. I selected the standard reservation and when I got to the restaurant they told me they ONLY had the fixed menu. Something clearly not communicated on the reservation I made. Heard dozens of guests constantly complain about the same thing requiring managers to apologize. We did the 4 course menu and it was a massive waste of money. Terribly small portion sizes. Incredibly over salted sausage, a lasagna full of only cheese to disguise any actual flavor, and the tiniest filet. Their desserts were approximately two bites total and the creme brulé was entirely water/thin. Their cocktails have been great but their food quality/management/service goes down every time we’ve come here. We try to come a few times a year and will never be returning.

This was one of our best meals ever at Dolce Vita! Everything was delicious, served piping hot, and everyone agreed their meal was better than usual. Our server Jose was fantastic, we always request him. He has been there for a long time, a delightful person and excellent server.
