Nestled in the heart of Washington DC, The Pembroke is a delightful culinary gem that offers a perfect blend of ambiance, service, and exquisite dishes. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed! Starting with the Bagel Salmon, I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. The bagel was perfectly toasted, providing a delightful crunch that complemented the silky, rich cream cheese and the succulent slices of smoked salmon. The addition of capers and red onions added a burst of flavor that elevated the dish to new heights. It was a beautifully balanced plate that left me craving more. The Eggs Benedict was equally remarkable. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, with the yolks oozing out beautifully when cut. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich, striking the right balance of tanginess that paired wonderfully with the savory ham. Served atop a toasted English muffin, this dish was a comforting yet elegant choice that made for a satisfying brunch experience. Beyond the food, the restaurant design is a feast for the eyes. The interior strikes a harmonious balance between modern elegance and cozy charm. With its warm lighting, tasteful decor, and inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect setting for a leisurely meal or a special occasion. The service was nothing short of excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. They were quick to offer recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

We had the nicest Christmas dinner. I’m so glad we went. Throughly enjoyed everything! Food was delicious and fresh and the service was outstanding too.

The owner Tom was really gracious in ensuring a nice table for me and my kids to enjoy a nice intimate lunch on Christmas Eve.

Al Tiramisu is one of our favorite restaurants, we always have the best time. Food and service are top notch

We have been going to Ella's since it opened several years ago. The food is always well prepared, delicious and served quickly by very lovely servers. We especially like the beet and orange salad and the Di Mare pizza which is made with pesto and shrimp. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery/American Art Museum. We love Ella's!
