Celebrity Chef Jen Carroll is opening up her exclusive CCC Studio to the public for a very special party with a purpose. The launch of Cookbooks & Convos will benefit both the Sisterly Love Collective & Cooks Who Care. Nestled on the third floor (NO Elevator) of the historic Peanut Chew Factory in Philly's vibrant Fishtown neighborhood, the CCC Studio is the heart of Carroll Couture Cuisine. Here, the magic happens—intimate private dinners, team-building sessions, cooking classes, live streams, food photography, recipe and content creation. The studio itself is a visual delight. Abundant natural light pours in through over a dozen windows, illuminating the space with its seventeen-foot ceilings. As the day transforms into night, the studio takes on a magical aura, thanks to the warm glow of fairy lights suspended from rustic wooden beams. This was one of the absolute best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding. If I wasn’t over 2hrs from this location I would absolutely make this a regular place for our nights out. 10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking of stopping in.

Went here with a couple friends for one guy’s birthday celebration. Everything was fantastic except for one thing. We ended up stuck at the front table, downstairs right as you come in the door near the Host/Hostess stand. This is a table they should get rid of after the weather drops below 50 degrees F (and it was 28 degrees F this night). I asked if there was another table available because it might be too cold there and the staff stated, unfortunately there were no others available because they were so booked but they could keep the door closed. Ha. I knew that would be impossible because they were so busy that the door would be constantly open both with customers coming in and with staff running food to the upstairs part of the restaurant, and the interior door doesn’t really close properly, even when staff attempt to close it as much as possible. And when a large group arrives, both the interior door and the exterior door are open for an extended amount of time because they had to check in at the Host/Hostess stand. Thankfully, we all dressed warm enough to get through it. All I know is, if this was a reservation with my wife we would have walked out!!

This restaurant is worth the hype; be sure to make weekend reservations way in advance (they are strict about them). The meals come as small plates, and the waiter kindly equated the first grouping of plates to being appetizers, the second grouping as main courses, and the third as sides. My husband and I ordered the carpaccio portabello mushrooms and the roasted golden beets to start. Perfectly presented and the right meld of flavors in each. For the next courses, one dish out did the next. Meat eaters will not be disappointed. We finished with a small scoop of cherry sorbet with balsamic vinegar; be sure to give it a try. We look forward to going again the next time we are in Philly.
