Best Sushi Restaurants in Kensington

We really enjoyed our visit and will be back for sure. The food and drink menus are excellent, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

We came here for our anniversary. Everything was perfect. The food was a fun mix of 2 types of cuisines. We ordered sushi tacos, duck duck, and the gyozagna. Everything tasted really good. When I asked what tea they had, I was not expecting a huge menu with so many choices. I knew of a lot of these teas so it was a pleasant surprise to have more options than just "green tea" or "black tea" in a tea bag. We went with "The Formless One" a Phoenix Oolong. This was the perfect pairing to go with the food. And it was really cool to have them prepare the tea at your table. A bit of a mini show. Our server Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He was very welcoming, took his time with us, and helped explain things when we had questions. He even opened the door and waited for us when we were leaving to say goodbye. This was the perfect dining experience for our anniversary. The servers said happy anniversary to us several times during our meal. The combination of really good food, quality tea, and service at Carino made for the perfect night out for us. I left feeling full and very content.

The kaisandon was amazing - the variety of fish slices (perfectly layered on top) were so fresh. The house-made pickles and soy sauce were a perfect complement to the rice dish too. My friends ordered a salmon rice dish with a unique tea broth which they loved too. We went on a Sunday night, so it wasn't too busy. Parking was a little bit of a challenge though. Will be back one day to try the popular Omakase menu!

The food and services is always good here. The menu has a bit of a limited/specialized selection but that's why you would go here for that type of food. You won't be disappointed.
