Apparently our servers family was in in the restaurant so he was doing more visiting than serving. After 5-6 minutes of sitting at our table one of the bartenders asked if we had been helped yet. I shared we haven't and he was the one who told us that our servers family was there. After that the service was great. Drinks were great. Got the mussels and they were amazing. We both got dinners of the specials list for Christmas night. Both were really good. Mine was exceptional. We have been to similar steak restaurant's around the country. I would say the value here was one of the best. I would defiantly go back. They are friendly and attentive and make you feel like they have known you forever.! There are so few places that you actually see management roll up their sleeves and pitch in when things get over-the-top busy! The food came out at reasonable times until dessert - we waited 45 minutes! Lauren apologized and said it was due to a backup in the kitchen . What I do not understand is that the menu was preset and the desserts should have been plated well in advance. When we left, we heard people complaining that they had reservations and were waiting for over 30 minutes past their reservation time. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food, but the service could have been better. We will definitely come back! I am sure with it being Christmas Eve, the kitchen was backlogged.
