Best Steak Restaurants in Golden

I came to The Fort to celebrate my boyfriend and I's anniversary and wow what a unique exterior that matched the name of the restaurant so well! Our server Adam was so sweet and had the best recommendations as it was our first time there. We started off with the Historian Platter, which had a great assortment of their popular appetizers. It was a great value to try a little bit of everything, and I did enjoy everything except the peanut butter stuffed jalapeños mostly because they were chilled, but the flavor was delish! The salad was divine with the chipotle honey dressing, super fresh and don't even get me started on the pumpkin muffins that come on the side! For my main course I had the duck which was so tender and flavorful, however I wasn't a big fan of the wild rice. We saved room for dessert to do their crème brule, so so delicious all in all an amazing experience all the way through. Thank you to our server Adam for making our anniversary so special!

The food was exceptional, the ambiance was perfect, and the service was nothing short of stellar. A special thank you to Pedro and Jennie at the host stand for greeting us with such warmth and making us feel immediately at home. Our server, Samantha B., truly went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. This visit was a celebration of a special family occasion, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to share such a moment with our loved ones. The attention to detail and genuine care from the staff made the evening unforgettable. While it’s not uncommon for Michelin-caliber restaurants to have General Managers and chefs visit tables, the personal touch from Justyn, the General Manager, was particularly meaningful. His kind words and thoughtful gesture of a complimentary appetizer made the evening even more special, especially as we celebrated my mom’s birthday. The music selection, featuring nostalgic 1980s Pop Classics and Top 40s hits, added to the positive, vibrant atmosphere, making the experience feel all the more memorable. The steaks were awesome. All the sides were delicious. My wife and I celebrated her birthday and it was a very classy ambiance! Our server Aimee was one of the best one could ask for. Her knowledge of food options, personality of making sure we had fun, and being super fast. Highly recommend to all.

Wonderful from beginning to end! Our prime rib was perfect. It came with green beans which wasn't stated anywhere so we ordered asparagus, we wouldn't have ordered the extra veggie if we had known but that was an ok problem to have.

Last minute decision that we were very happy about. Excellent food and service, we will return
