Best Southern American Restaurants in Midtown

Dustin gave us excellent advice and we all enjoyed the duck leg confit or the porc chop. The desert was delicious and came with a beautiful presentation. Truly enjoyed the experience

My girlfriend and I chose Evelyn's for our Valentine's Day dinner and we are so happy that we did. The food was amazing and service was the best we've had in a year of living in Nashville. The meals and drinks came out quickly and our server Maddy was so kind. She went above and beyond to make our experience even better. We can't wait to come back!

Music City stalwart with a menu of intriguing plates, combinations, seasoning, service and presentation. Midtown also respects, protects and burnishes the legacy of beloved and indefatigable raconteur Randy Rayburn. The staff is cordial, attentive, and responsive and it leaves you with the impression they are one big family. Kristine was fantastic this morning and emblematic of all who seat and serve you. I consider Midtown Cafe to be a convenient and terrific setting for a family occasion, to sit alone and dine at the bar, or to conduct a business meeting. I have done this often. Randy's greeting was always, "Welcome to our home." He meant it. Midtown continues to feel like home and there's a reason Nashville boasts The Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts at Nashville State. Special man, special commitment to pleasing his guests, and what impact he had on the community. For me, there's a magnetic pull to return. I do not resist it.

This place is a Nashville treasure. It is adorable, like walking back in time. Food was unbelievable!! Yum yum yum! Staff, and Mangers( Bo and Holly) were so friendly, kind and so much fun. Everyone treats you like family and they all treat each other that way. Food , milkshakes, meat was like something somebody’s grandmother made!’ I can’t say enough nice things! You just have to go and experience a true old fashioned , family Restaurant!!’ You will love it!

Service and food were exceptional and drinks were tasty and strong. But we came for happy hour and the 2 for 1 pizzas (our reso was Monday at 4:00) and our server informed us that the special didn’t start until 6:00, even though the website and other places online said it started at 4:00. We’ll be back, but we’re a little let down in the miscommunication.
