Best Southern American Restaurants in Design District

We enjoyed our food. The music was good but just a little too loud for the older crowd. Which is what I am.

When we first walked into the restaurant, we immediately noticed the care and effort put into customer satisfaction. An elderly couple was speaking with the manager, commending how much they enjoyed their experience—and we soon found out why! Once we were seated, our waiter truly went above and beyond. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. We asked about seven different dishes, and he confidently explained every single one, from the ingredients to the presentation, making each sound like the best choice. He made it nearly impossible to decide! In the end, we went with the fried chicken, mac and cheese, biscuits, and roasted corn. Every single dish was phenomenal—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Honestly, I couldn’t pick a favorite because they were all that good! We’ll definitely be back very soon. My only small recommendation is for the valet team—those guys were working so hard out in the freezing cold. A heat lamp in the winter would make a world of difference for them. Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Wonderful ambiance. Loved the decor. Easy to park in the garage attached to the building and they validate parking. Elk tacos delicious. Generous portions. Great cocktails. Attentive wait staff. Will be back. Wonderful date night and close to AT&T Performance hall where we hit a show after. Try this place! Also looks like a fun group dining place too.

I celebrated my birthday here friday & It was by far the best experience ever! Great service and the food was seasoned to perfection! I love the music and our waiter Eazy made this night so memorable! Booking again soon!
