Best Seafood Restaurants in West Chicago

We have never gone out for dinner on Christmas Day, but this year we were a small group of four, so we decided not to cook and made reservations at Devon’s. Boy, are we glad we did! Their Christmas Prix Fixe menu was wonderful with many great choices. As a table, we had lobster bisque, gumbo, lamb, scallops, sea bass, lamb and filet. All were stunning! It was very busy but service was spot-on, thanks to server extraordinaire, Janet! She really made our evening special and gave great recommendations. Cost for such fine food was really a great value as well. We are definitely going back!

The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The menu offered a fantastic selection, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The sides, especially the [specific side you enjoyed], complemented the meal beautifully. And don’t even get me started on the desserts—they were the perfect sweet finale! What truly sets Eddie Merlot’s apart is the attention to detail. From the presentation of the food to the cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere, everything was designed to make us feel special. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a high-end dining experience, Eddie Merlot’s is the place to be. We had such a pleasant dinner! The restaurant was packed but the excellent acoustics make conversation easy. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server, Denzel, was attentive and added to the overall wonderful experience.

Hugo’s was packed last night. We were seated a few minutes late but we ended up in a booth. The server and staff did a great job with attention to detail. The staff was completely on game. The general manager stopped and chatted a bit despite an estimated 860 reservations for the night. The sautéed frog legs and escargot were prepared to perfection. We all ordered fish dinners with each cooked perfectly and served hot. All things excellent!

It was decorated for Christmas, with a great value at happy hour. Can't ask for much more. Live piano music, good food, and great atmosphere. Can't ask for much more
