- BBarbaraVirginia •15 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe made our reservations for 4:00 on Thanksgiving. We were offered their regular menu and a special menu for Thanksgiving, which is what we ordered. It included butternut squash soup, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, carrots and green beans. It also included dessert, a slice of pumpkin praline cheesecake for believe it or not, $34.98. We started with an appetizer which we didn’t need, flatbread with feta and grilled tomatoes drizzled with balsamic. Crazy delicious! The soup was good and there was a generous serving of turkey, including a small portion of dark meat. The mashed potatoes were also good and the stuffing was okay. I am very picky about stuffing. It was mostly bread and I think I saw carrots in it but regardless it was bland. There was also gravy. The vegetables were awesome and the dessert was excellent. I had an espresso martini and my husband an old fashioned and beer. I ended up taking some dinner and dessert home. Our waitress, Sunshine, was pretty great too.More infoCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Richmond, VAPrice: Moderate• American• Richmond•4.3

So even though it was a chilly windy day we were very comfortable. Service however was slow and while It all worked out it was still a concern. Thanksgiving dinner was ok, the turkey was smoked more than I care for, the green beans were very crisp and the stuffing was unpleasant. The food seemed to have been sitting a bit too long under a heat lamp and it had formed a crust over parts. One of us had a steak and potatoes augratin and they were very pleased with the dinner. So go for the steak and stay away from special holiday meals…perhaps.More infoPerry's Steakhouse & Grille – Richmond - Short PumpPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Dumbarton•4.6

We ordered cocktails, calamari and a variety of their filet mignon steaks. While we are always impressed with the food, our server was attentive and wanted us to be 100% satisfied with every detail. I ordered a cocktail that was a bit too boozy for my tastes and he happily returned it and didn't charge us. This is my preferred special dining establishment in Richmond.More infoBuckheads - RichmondPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Richmond•4.8

- LLisaHawaii •36 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe've come to appreciate West Coast as a close, reliable purveyor of truly fresh ingredient-focused, great dinners. We've even ordered (beef) filet there. (And it was great!) We usually vier toward the raw fish/seafood items and vegetable salads, but the last couple of fish tacos and/or s "simply prepared" salmon with vegetables have proven the kitchen's skills beyond promised "Aligot" potatoes that are little more than predictably "mashed." And there are occasional reliances on showy kitchen flourishes -- like a hearty scattering of fresh thyme leaves on roasted potatoes --for which a MUCH lighter hand would serve to taste if not, so much, to appearance. But our past few months' experiences with raw seafood, roasted or grilled entrees, deep-fried fish tacos, and -- most recently -- filet of beef have been outstanding in creativity and consistency. We do not want to take this ostensibly "seafood" outpost while they serve so many dependably excellent salads, sandwiches, steaks, etc. West Coast is an amazing neighborhood gathering place -- one that has MUCH better than "neighborhood gathering spot" food. Go for the food. All of it..More infoWest Coast ProvisionsPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Richmond•4.6
