Best Seafood Restaurants in Downers Grove

This was our first time and it was amazing!! We will definitely be back. We came for Valentines day weekend and ate from the prefixed Valentines menu for 2. Everything came out perfect and the portion sizes were more than enough. We were in a back room area that was much more quiet and intimate than the bar area that you see when you walk in, which is what we wanted. Our server was fantastic too. 10/10 !!!!

Took a little bit of time past our reservation to get seated but server was great. He was prompt and kept our drinks filled. The food was outstanding. I was a little disappointed I couldn’t do the surf and turf special GF. I would have been fine with the lobster minus the crab filling. Maybe there was more to it to make it GF. Did the filet mignon and it was great! Always happy to dine here!!!

We enjoyed our Valentine’s Day at Gibsons! The food and drinks were excellent and the staff was kind and helpful. We would have preferred to sit in the main eating rooms. We were in a separate space that appeared to be a temporary space for Valentine’s Day. It did not feel as comfortable and it was very cold when guests would enter/exit the restaurant. However, it did not ruin the experience and we will come back because of the food and excellent service!

Everything about our visit exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and sophisticated, setting the perfect tone for a memorable evening. The decor is elegant, with a warm lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere, ideal for a special occasion or a romantic night out. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, providing us with detailed recommendations and ensuring that our glasses were never empty. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Parker's has become our go-to restaurant for special occasions. My husband & I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day with lunch, and it was a great decision! Our server Maria was friendly, pleasant and helpful. As Maria suggested, we started with a small plate of calamari to share. The calamari were perfectly cooked and accented by both the cocktail sauce and the remoulade sauce. My husband's entre was the lobster roll - delicious and FULL of lobster meat. I chose the fish and chips and was surprised by the size of the serving. I ended up taking half of it home. The fish was incredibly fresh, lightly breaded, and sooooo good. We finished our meal off by sharing the caramel budino, which was rich and decadent, the perfect amount for sharing. All in all, we would recommend Parker's to anyone looking for fresh, well-prepared seafood, a beautiful space, great service, and with convenient parking.
