We love the Ringside. The ambience is cozy and the staff are delightful. The food is impeccable every time.

We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We had a good table with a decent view of the city. Our first waitress wasn’t so kind but that didn’t bother us. We noticed a window seat open up and it had been about 30 mins so I asked the host if we could move and she said “ YES!”. After that the evening got even better. Our waitress was fun and so kind! The view was absolutely amazing and the Christmas parade ships were out! We had great food, great service and wonderful experience!

The Chart House has been our go-to restaurant for several years now. As old college friends from 1971, we come back to Portland, the city where we met. If you live in Portland/Vancouver or are visiting do not miss the opportunity to dine at one of my family's all time favorites, Salty's on the Columbia. Today, while visiting from Boston my mother and I had an outstanding experience, We cannot even begin to rave about the perfectly trained service, the incredible menu, the food presented and of course THE VIEW!! One never tires of river, the mountains, the boats on the water from the windows. She had the incredible Slab Salad (think wedge salad without the wedge). I started with a cup of the Salty's clam chowder with tiny bay shrimp (a Pacific Ocean speciality not found on our East Coast) and then the Dungeness Crab (an other Pacific delicacy) cheese melt. Washing it down with the Phelps Pinot Noir. Excellent. We wrapped up our lovely time together with a slice of the desert chef's holiday specialty of pumpkin cream pie! Try Salty's. You will never forget it.
