I recently enjoyed a delightful lunchtime meal with friends at The Nags Head, and it was an experience worth sharing. The pub exudes a warm and cosy charm, making it the perfect setting for a relaxed get-together. The menu was full of tempting options, but we opted for the rarebit and a hearty pie for our mains. Both dishes were absolutely delicious—comfort food at its finest. The Welsh rarebit was rich, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned, while the pie was a masterpiece, with a golden, flaky crust and a filling that was both flavorful and satisfying. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of this lovely pub. It’s clear that great care goes into both the food and the overall experience. If you’re looking for a cosy spot with excellent food and a great ambiance, I highly recommend The Nags Head. I’ll certainly be back!

We arrived after the dining room had closed and the pub was open for entertainment. The hostess was wonderful. She had sent us a message to tell us that they were no longer serving dinner but we had not received it. She seated us and spoke with the Chef who agreed to make us dinner. We were exhausted and had traveled all day. Everyone at the pub was so kind that I could have cried. The food was great. We had 2 roast beef dinners and 1 turkey dinner and all three were delicious and huge! The service was great and we enjoyed every yummy bite! I cannot thank the staff enough for all your care and kindness to 3 very tired travelers.
