- DDianaVIPChicago / Illinois •89 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAs fans of Rose Mary we were eager to try El Carciofi and willing to take a 4:45 reservation. This is as fun and as delicious as Rose Mary and shares the same approach to dining—shareable small plates. Interesting craft cocktails, sufficient wines by the glass, exceptionally well trained wait staff and very flavorful food. Gus menu was all Rome inspired so it was a little less diverse than Rose Mary. The artichokes were spectacular crisply Rome style. Every inch was edible. Two to an order but they bring you a serrated knife if you want to have them. We had one other appetizer (calamari), one pasta and one seafood main. The portions are great for two to share but if three or four order another something or two and expect to get just a couple bites not full servings. They have $8 servings of gelato and sorbet and a couple amazing deserts they offered to checkout coats.a nice touch in Chicago’s winter. It’s easy to spend $100 per person if you gave two drinks each and desert. We found street parking but forgot to feed the meter since the sign wasn’t obvious so double checkMore infoil CarciofoPrice: Expensive• Italian• West Loop•4.8

- KKellyVIPChicago / Illinois •12 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLove Pizzeria Portofino's riverfront location & we were seated on the enclosed "patio" which was very nice but a little chilly. Also a bit loud. But the cocktails & food more than made up for that. I highly recommend the limoncello spritz - it's amazing! We had charred pepperoni pizza, vodka pasta pasta, octopus & arugula salad. All were good but the pizza was the star of our meal. Our server was excellent. We'll be back without a doubt.More infoPizzeria PortofinoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.8

- RRoccoChicago / Illinois •2 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 2, 2024Serve was slow considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Only one person serving most of the restaurant We expected to wait for our food to arrive 20-25 minutes after we ordered it but not 45 minutes after we ordered it. Then we had to wait an additional 10 minutes just to get our check so we could pay and leave. The food was good and we would go back to the food but the service wasn’t terribleMore infoLou Malnati's - Oak ParkPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Oak Park•3.9
