- JJ LindsayvipSan Diego •79 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe moved to the area about a year ago and, especially over the summer, we have eaten here fairly often. It's consistently excellent: good food, good service, and not too expensive (though certainly not cheap). Last night, we dined early. Being winter (or what passes for it, in SoCal), it was getting dark outside. And that brings me to the point: the lights inside the restaurant are so dim that it weas very difficult to read the menus. We were not the only ones - many people used their phones (or the candles on the table) so help them. And one of the pleasures of eating in a good restaurant is visual: the decor, how the food is plated, and the food's quality. It was far too dark to appreciate any of those things. We hadn't experienced this before, before it was always bright daylight when we ate. So, to the management - PLEASE increase the lighting a shade (pun intended) when it's dark outside.More infoHerb & SeaPrice: Moderate• Californian• Encinitas•4.6

The salad I had was delicious and entrées were excellent. I really enjoyed our waitress and her help in all aspects of our visit. - LLitoSan Diego •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTheir ads on scallops looks good and juicy, however when was served on our table it seems the opposite of the adds, scallops are little bit small and dry. Steaks are well prepared and taste so great. Service is outstanding, thank you for the great evening. Ms. Hanna, our host, took care of us. Oh by the way the music is great too. Hope I can seat near the band on my next visit.More infoEddie V's - Seaport DistrictPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Downtown•4.8
