Best Middle Eastern Restaurants in Portola Valley

This is my family's comfort food place. All of us enjoy the cuisine and we look forward to visiting this restaurant every time we decide to eat Mediterranean. The shorbaah and hummus with Pita as starters is great. We also have the Kalai (Chicken and veggies done is a light but flavorful sauce) and Falafel. My daughter loves the Shish Taouk which is the chicken kebabs rice plate and I personally enjoy the Kufta kebab.

Our food was excellent with the exception of the Olive Oil cake. I would not recommend it. It’s a dense cake, but grainy and dry. Oh well. We especially loved the Brussels sprouts and kebab.

My husband and I ordered the dry aged steak, creamy gnocchi, spinach, and wild mushrooms. Everything were good. Excellent services. Easy parking. The owner came out to greet us. That was nice. Our waiter was helpful, friendly, and attentive. We would go there again :)

This is a superb restaurant giving an excellent dining experience; world-class Turkish cuisine; outstanding!

This was my second time dining at Chelokababi. The staff is friendly and attentive making good suggestions. We had a variety of appetizers entrees and desserts that we shared, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere reminds me of dining with family.
