- HHamiltonvipSan Diego •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMan, I noticed a few bad reviews for this place but we totally disagree. This is a cool, smaller restaurant attached to the Hotel Valencia. It has a nice u-shaped bar with what seemed to be mostly locals hanging out talking with the staff. Upscale vibe but not "stuffy" La Jolla vibe. The cocktails were amazing and fairly creative. We also thought the food was excellent, contrary to what a few other folks have said. The braised short rib Mao, crispy pumpkin squash, and twinkie ceaser were the standouts. Only minor downsides were that you can smell the seals a little bit and it was a bit chilly inside, as the door was kept open. Overall we really enjoyed our experience.More infoThe Whaling BarPrice: Expensive• Californian• La Jolla•4.5
- HHannahSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe shrimp linguine was delicious, and had such a generous amount of large shrimp! Dish had great flavor, and the sauce was perfect. The rosemary feta fries were so creative and delicious - they were a hit! The truffle ketchup paired with it was perfect as well. Our waitress was so kind, and brought my friend a special free treat for her birthday. Love Beeside :)More infoBeeside Balcony Del MarPrice: Expensive• Contemporary European• Del Mar•4.4
- KKimberlySan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoChristmas Magic Our dining experience was golden. The atmosphere was over the top, literally with giant snowflakes, golden ornaments sparkling everywhere. We had a smile on our face the whole evening. Our food was delicious. I had the filet again because it's that good. My friends had the salmon. I tried the 1/2 Caesar salad, the best I’ve had in years. We got a side of crispy red potatoes and garlic bread with dipping au jus. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. They give you umbrellas to use because every hour on the hour Christmas music starts to play and it snows!!!! So much fun. To top it all off we had the Baked Alaska flambé. Our waiter poured a flaming blue caramel sauce over our dessert. What a show! My only regret was we shared it and I didn’t get my own. LOL!! Excellent place for a date night, but a must see for everyone to get in the Christmas spirit. PS We loved our waiter Michael he gave us exceptional service .More infoinsideOUTPrice: Expensive• Californian• Hillcrest•4.7

If you are craving good southern Italian cuisine I would highly suggest this restaurant.More infoRosina's Italian RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Italian• Poway / Rancho Bernardo•4.8
