Nice chill brunch with delicious food with our server being attentive, but giving us the perfect amount of space to absorb the whole meal. Will ABSOLUTELY return again.More infoavec West LoopPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• West Loop•4.8
- KKenniseChicago / Illinois •14 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agothe noise level was obnoxious. the DJ had a practically empty restaurant and she played loud techno music with willful disregard for the impact on a mostly empty restaurant and a few tables of guests trying to enjoy DELICIOUS food. The space is beautiful. The food is delicious though I found the fish stew disappointedly oily and less enjoyable than I hoped. I will return and recommend it BUT a bit of "reading the room" is indicated. She is the only person who seemed to enjoy her loud musicMore infoEliaPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Bucktown / Wicker Park•4.5
- BBrian FrazierChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIf you are a lover of true Roman cuisine, you'll feel right at home at il Carciofo. It (selfishly) pains me to write this as it is already a long line to get a reservation, but as a couple who truly loves spending time in Italy and have yet to find an American restaurant that holds its salt, Chef Joe Flamm and his team hit this one out of the park. Watching him work the kitchen was like watching a conductor at the Orchestra. The carbonara, carciofi and pistachio gelato transported us right back to our favorite spots in Rome. We originally booked back to back nights in case we had a last minute scheduling conflict, fortunately we did not. We enjoyed last night and we'll be back again tonight to take on the other half of the menu. Hats off, Chef!More infoil CarciofoPrice: Expensive• Italian• West Loop•4.8
- KKathyDenver / Colorado •8 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 11, 2024A lovely evening with a great special: risotto with beef cheeks, mushrooms and bell peppers. Our server Matthew was knowledgeable about dishes, wines and so accommodating throughout. It was my 75th birthday and I felt so special there.More infoCitrine CafePrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Oak Park•4.8
