Although we were 20 minutes early for our reservation, they immediately seated us (beautiful restaurant). We started with coconut mojitos (delish) and a shared order of guacamole. This was followed by shrimp in a queso type sauce, pork sliders, Ropa viejo and skirt steak with rice and black beans. The final touch was a coconut gelato (refreshing). The wait staff, continually checked on us and answered all questions. We, thoroughly, enjoyed the entire experienceMore infoVictor's CaféPrice: Expensive• Cuban• Theater District•4.7

- DDawnNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 29, 2024We were in New York the Sunday before New Year’s, and had the great fortune of going to Sugar Bar. I seen Valerie Simpson on TV a few days before and it reminded me of this restaurant. So glad I happened upon that interview. A New York neighborhood restaurant bar was full of chatting people having a good time. The food was good. The drinks were great and the desserts scrumptious. More importantly, it was beautiful to pay how much to Ashford & Simpson. It reminded me of growing up with their music in the background. We went on a Sunday; next time I’ll be sure to go on a day that they have music!More infoSugar BarPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Upper West Side•4.6
