Best Italian Restaurants in Onondaga

A really amazing meal and great ambience for date night.

Started with oysters on the half shell; they were not as salty as some can be. Shucked perfectly, slurped off the shell smoothly. Sauteed clams in white wine had a touch of red pepper that added just the right amount of seasoning. Creamy Burrata Salad was a stand-out. The ratio of Parmesan to the sweetness and acid in the balsamic vinegar blended perfectly. The Spicy Soppressata/Red Chili Honey pizza was not as spicy as I would prefer, but it was finished must right for anyone. Pasta with Mushroom Ragu Truffle oil was prepared al-dente. Plenty of wine choices by the glass to mix and match with the different plates brought to the table.

Wonderful experience as always! It is one of few restaurants we go to locally. You can always count on great service and a delicious meal.

I went to dinner with my 2 sisters. Light traffic tonight. The meal was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was most attentive. But, the noise level was way too loud- we were seated below a speaker and the sound of the music was turned up quite high. It was very distracting and unnecessary. We found ourselves competing to be heard over the music. We brought this to our waitress’ attention and she said she would ask that it be turned down. It did not seem any different.

We came from the hospital for dinner and then returned to the hospital. It was just what we needed. Kindness and warmth. Took our minds off our other issue. Highly highly recommended, especially if you are near St Joe's hospital. Not far at all. Ty B
