Best Italian Restaurants in Kennett Square

Went with a party of 5 for a birthday celebration. All had different dishes. All parties, including me loved the food. Waitress was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. This was the third time I have eaten there, all with the same comments.

We absolutely love coming to La Verona. The food is by far some of the best! I love them gnocchi in Aurora sauce!

Our first time eating here- and it was great! I will def dine here again when in the area. I would def suggest making sure you have a reservation especially on the weekend! People were showing up and it was at least 1.5h wait. Use OpenTable. We had a res and were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress Alice was phenomenal and very helpful when guiding us through the menu. The menu is not super large but some of the items are different and there aren't many pics online yet. We decided to share some meals, esp after finding out some of the entrees have a half portion and a full portion price. We started with the Margarita Pizza which was very good and perfectly cooked. The tomato "sauce" was perfectly flavored. To share we got the Meatball Ravioli half portion, Cavatelli half portion, and the Stuffed Chicken Parm. The only letdown of all the items was the meatball ravioli- I'm very picky with any meatball and this was not to my taste, my partner like it but did not like it as a ravioli. The chicken parmigiana was my fave of the night- it was huge, and the crust on it was like nothing I ever have. The pasta it came with was perfect and the sauce was a fave. The cavatelli was a second and I would def get again. We skipped dessert- so much food. Overall this was a top place we have eaten and staff including our waitress Alice were phenomenal.

Fantastic! Already planning to visit again! We had planned a visit to Longwood Gardens on the evening of Christmas Day, not expecting to find a restaurant open for dinner afterwards. After an internet search and a phone call, we were delighted to discover that this Italian restaurant was indeed open on the biggest national and spiritual holiday of the year when chain stores and restaurants are closed. We made reservations for 7:30 PM on Christmas day. From the moment we approached the front door until we left, we were smitten. The place was packed full of couples and families with older children. Clean and well-lit parking garage was just steps away, the wait staff were knowledgeable and attentive (not to mention very handsome with thick Italian accents), the food was to die for, and the ambiance was charming. We wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!

Emily was amazing! She brought the little things requested that many servers forget like lemons and water. Super efficient and consistently great all the way around.
