Best Italian Restaurants in Oak Park

All of the pasta dishes were cooked perfectly and enjoyed to al dente perfection. We ordered 5 dishes -- Gnocchi di Patate (good, but was expecting really over the top and it wasn't); the bucatini, spaghetti de mare, lumache, and the casarecce, were all exceptional. The salad and frito misto were fantastic. The burrata was disappointing, in that it was a ball of burrata and there was nothing served with it (e.g., bread or cracker of something) to eat it. The vanilla semifreddo was the best dessert and the chocolate mousse was good. The budino was odd. The pinot grigio (Klaus Lensch) was great. The rose was so-so. Overall, a good night and an exceptional meal and experience.

We had a party of 8, and everyone enjoyed the night. It has become one of our favorites even though we live about 40 minutes away. Everything is good here food, service, quantity, value, and atmosphere. We will try to get back whenever we can.

We had a delightful meal. Ricco was a great server. Our only complaint was that the Arancinis were not competitively priced. $22 for this appetizer was not representative of the rest of the menu.

I came here with two of my girlfriends and Mitchell was our server. He was outstanding, hilarious, kind, and was always there and ready. Truly the epitome of perfect service!!!He had wonderful service. 10/10. Food was outstanding too. The greca, ribeye, bronzino, cacio e Pepe, and the banana dessert. Loved it.

I had leek soup, which was nice and hot, good presentation, and tasted good. My wife had a salad, which she said was good, large pieces of feta cheese. The bread was warm, soft, and tasty. She also had the prime strip steak, which was cooked correctly, to order. I had the caccio e pepe, which was better than expected, and I really liked it. Quality over quantity. My wife had Riesling, I had red wine (ironically, should've been the other way around given what we ate). I had a red Burgundy, which was good; then a Willamette pinot noir, which was a very nice sequence. She had a lemon cake for dessert, I had a vintage port wine, which was quite good. Overall we enjoyed the meal. Loud at first, but it quieted down. Narrow space to walk between tables, then larger as more people departed. Spent $250 with tip.
