From the moment you arrive, the attention to detail is evident—impeccable service, a beautifully curated ambiance, and a menu that seamlessly blends innovation with classic technique. Each dish in the tasting menu is a work of art, showcasing seasonal ingredients with exquisite flavors and textures. The courses flow effortlessly, with highlights ranging from delicate seafood preparations to perfectly executed meats and creative vegetable-forward dishes. Every bite is balanced, refined, and deeply satisfying. Service at Alo is nothing short of exceptional. Probably one of the better meals I’ve had in my life. We did wine pairings too, it was awesome. Highly recommend.More infoAlobar YorkvillePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Yorkville•4.7
- DDanielSan Diego •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe finally tried Alo after hearing much great things. We sat at “The Bar at Alo” for a St-Valentines fixed menu. The Service was outstanding from all staff and the food / cocktails were indeed deserving of their Michelin Star. Ambiance and decor in the bar area was a bit dark for our taste. I found the prices to be a bit steep, but not outside the norm at this level. The wine pairing was interesting and will get two of their featured bottles. However, I wonder why they chose to feature a US bottle in their pairing at this particular time. Overall great experience, will likely try their main dining area in the near future.More infoThe Bar at Alo RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• International• Entertainment District•4.8

- DDavidToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFirst time at this restaurant. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation on the snowiest day of the winter, so the restaurant was not overly busy. Group of 4 friends for trying the Winterlicious menu. After taking our jackets and getting settled, we ordered Negronis to warm up. Our server, Selena, was very engaging and, after we asked, gave us great recommendations from the Winterlicious menu. For starters, two of us each had a very generous serving of the Warm Farro Salad, a crisp mix of Snap Peas, Baby Bok Choy, Black Kale, toasted almonds with a delicious maple balsamic vinaigrette. Loved it. The others had the Spicy Korean Fried Chicken appetizer (also a very generous portion) which was and enjoyed, as was the smaller Scallop ceviche. For mains, 3 of us opted for the Brazilian Chicken Supreme, will HOT grilled jalapeno, coconut jasmine rice under tomato Tumeric Sauce and limes. Delicious. And all 4 of us finished with the Decadent Chocolate Cake (which was outstanding) and Lattes. In summary, wonderful service from our server Selena, generous portions of delicious food, and a very relaxing evening on a cold, wintery night in Toronto. We didn't want to leave... Will definitely come back again.More infoDía Restaurant & LoungePrice: Expensive• International• Yorkville•4.1
