Best International Restaurants in Taxco

First time here and I was super impressed Arrive, food and decor excellent. Our waiter always had a smile on his face.

Top notch setting with the historic church within immediate view. Book prior to sunset and it's spectacular! A main dining area with domed painted ceilings and expansive patios for outside seating. Multiple talented violinists set a very romantic tone. Stay long enough and the Pirate Ship will shoot fireworks in front of the patio. We were not rushed and service was superb, the main entree was good, not great. My wife's octopus was slightly over done, not tough but not as tender as we have had at other world class places. My Seabass was also good, not great. Had better Seabass at Puro Peru. The atmosphere made up for the slight food issues. I felt the price was fair for our experience. Would go back and try some other menu items.

What a wonder person Josh was very good at what he does. Friendly , and new when to approach us. Sorry for the candle lighting the menu on fire . Thank you Josh for been right there when we needed you. 😃 The food was delicious. Highly recommend La Negra on your travels to Bucerias . Great place

La Palapa is hands-down our favorite dining spot in Puerto Vallarta. It’s the perfect place to catch a sunset, with stunning ocean views and an ambiance that strikes just the right balance between relaxed and elegant. The service here is consistently good—friendly, attentive, and warm without being overbearing. It’s clear the staff takes pride in creating a welcoming experience. The food is fun and approachable, offering a mix of flavors that never feels pretentious. Whether it’s a fresh seafood dish or a creative cocktail, everything is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We make it a point to dine at La Palapa both at the beginning and end of every trip, and it never disappoints. It’s more than a meal; it’s part of the Puerto Vallarta experience.

Great location and always great service. The food could use a little updating. I ordered the blue shrimp which were delicious. However, I got tiny little ramekins of rice and vegetable, and the dinner rolls seemed commercial served with lbutter in prepackaged plastic containers. Not the sort of thing for us Restaurant of this quality and price range. The table side Cesar was delicious although too heavy on the dressing to lettuce ratio. The tortilla soup was good although a bit watery. My son loved his seafood pasta. Not many bottles of wine under $55. Overall, our experience was fine. We’ve been coming here for years, always hopeful that it’s improving. We love Cesar and we’re sorry that he was not working last night.
