Best Indian Restaurants in St. Lawrence Market

The experience was exceptional. Abhishek, our server that evening, attentively managed everything, provided explanations, and guided us through the menu, suggesting items we might enjoy. His recommendations were outstanding. Regarding the food, the butter chicken was the best I have ever tasted in the GTA. It was not sweet, as many other butter chicken in the GTA are, but rather had the authentic flavour. We also tried the dal makhani, which was remarkable. I will certainly recommend it to my friends and plan to return. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great food. The restaurant is brightly lit. Great interiors. Slightly noisy which I personally didn’t mind. The rani kachori and tandoori grilled prawns were the best. Tadka daal was also very good. The Awadhi lamb shank was cooked well as was the dak bungalow mutton curry. However, the chicken biryani was very disappointing with very underwhelming flavors. Overall great experience and good to go in small groups as most items are shareable.

Enjoyed the Winterlicious Dinner menu, the food came out quickly and the flavours were great! The staff was friendly and attentive. Also enjoyed the Hibiscus Margarita.

Well presented food, attentive service, customized level of heat. Excellent quality—we had shrimp and lamb chops for the main course with rice and naan as sides. The space is good for sound and for private conversation. There were several other tables with guests but ambient sound was not obtrusive. Highly recommended.

The Monday lunchtime meal was very good. Timing, presentation, quality of the food was excellent. Was very impressed by some unique dish choices. One suggestion is to change the menu format. Too many 2-sided menu pages to look at.
