The Bleeding Horse is a historically significant public house located in Upper Camden Street, Dublin, Ireland. It dates at least back to the 17th century, and was located on St. Kevin’s Port (now Camden St.) at the junction of two important highways leading out of the city.On one side was Charlotte St., leading to Ranelagh and Donnybrook; on the other side was Old Camden St., which joined Richmond St. and led to Rathmines and Cullenswood. Both of these old streets disappeared during the renovations in the 1990s. The present building dates from 1871; the interior was renovated in 1992.There are (at least) two explanations for the name. One is that when a horse got the “staggers” it was bled by a farrier at the inn. The decor is very upper class and so comfortable. The spacing is perfect which allows the absolute dinning experience. Staff are so friendly and give that personal touch. Food was amazing, would definitely visit again.

The overall experience is brilliant, there was live music on which made it even better. The steak which you cook yourself is unbelievable. The staff are lovely particularly the blonde lady who I think was the manager, very welcoming and chatty. Would definitely recommend it!

This was my first time at the new venue and it was wonderful- the place was buzzing, we were greeted on arrival by the wonderful owner, the service was amazing, prompt yet not intrusive, I had spicy prawns followed by salmon - delicious! So so so glad we went! I’ll be back next time I’m in Ireland!

Staff were efficient and friendly. Lovely atmosphere Christmas decorations are spot on. Food was delicious. Over all I would highly recommend booking is a must.
