- SSamuelWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFood and cocktails were great!!! Highly recommend to anyone, the dishes were not only good - they were delicious. The type of dishes you look back too and remember when comparing to other restaurants as some of the best. The service provided was also great!More infoFIG & OLIVE DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Downtown•4.5
- KkatherineWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoservice was exceptional! attentive but not hovering. The French onion soup was the best I've had outside of France--not too much bread, delicious onion broth/onions and lots of perfectly browned cheese. Creme Brûlée and chocolate soufflé were also excellent, as were the quiche and salmon. Very good wine and cocktail menu, and the food menu, while not exhaustive, had variety and everyone in our party had trouble deciding between several dishes they were sure they would like. We went for late lunch and easily found street parking, but suspect that was luck, but Hotel Sonesta has a garage--did not ask if they validated parking. While not cheap, very reasonable for quality and quantity of food--portions were reasonable, but not the huge portions sometimes offered to make up for inferior quality at some restaurants. We were first-time diners but will definitely be back!More infoBistro Du Jour Capitol HillPrice: Moderate• French• Washington•4.7

- MMichaelVIPLondon •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad a fantastic meal. Our server Moussine was incredibly knowledgeable, especially about their fantastic wine list, and was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was stellar, especially the steak frites, the peppercorn sauce, the vinaigrette on the house salad, and the profiteroles. If I had to pick a nit, it would be the aspic atop the foie gras mousse…it was somehow both too bland and too tough. The mousse itself was delicious…but we ended up leaving most of the rubbery aspic on the plate. All in all, however, a phenomenal meal, and we will definitely be returning!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.3
- MMerrittWashington, D.C. Area •11 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe went for lunch when our daughter visited from out of town. The breakfast sandwich was very good, although a bit sloppy to eat because there was so much in it. The galette was also very nice, with a good amount of filling. The frites were nice, and went well with the accompanying mayo. The room was quiet, although there may have been fewer people there today than usual, because of the expected snow. Service was well above ordinary.More infoPetite CerisePrice: Expensive• French• Mount Vernon Square•4.7
