- JJamieVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined todayEverything was great except the food quality. The eggplant parm was way too salty, the linguine and clams was starchy and unflavororal. I brought an out of town team here based on ratings and unfortunately we were all underwhelmed. Waiter was amazing and sweet.More infoFlorioPrice: Moderate• French• Pacific Heights•4.8
- JJohnSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 29, 2024Our party of four was seated in a window niche with a view of the sidewalk- perfect! Our party had two terrific specialty cocktails- a Red Swan and an Unwinding Salve, both delicious 😋. For entrees we had Parisian gnocchi in a cream sauce, mushroom tagliatelle, and the Absinthe burger with truffle cheese and fries- all were delicious. The best dessert was the Pot de Crème, a dense chocolate pudding with a dense whipped cream topping! Yummy. Our waiter was engaging and helpful in making choices. Overall, we had a fun, enjoyable, and satisfying dining experience before a concert at SFJAZZ around the corner. We’ll be returning to this French restaurant again!More infoAbsinthe Brasserie and Bar - SFPrice: Expensive• French• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8
- SSherrieSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024We had a lovely experience, from being accommodated on our early arrival to having excellent suggestions regarding food and wine by our knowledgeable and charming server Flo. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and our food (including Escargots, Hanger steak, Coq au Vin, Floating Island) was delectable. I’m so glad we found L’Ardoise Bistro. We will make this a regular stop when visiting our daughter in San Francisco.More infoL'ArdoisePrice: Expensive• French• The Castro•4.8
- SStevenVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024We went to this little neighborhood French bistro because we couldn’t get a table at the more popular restaurants like Elena and Khao Tiew in West Portal. To our surprise the food and ambiance were better than either of those hot restaurants. It was a full house by 7:30pm and many of the diners spoke French, which is a good sign of authenticity. We had the ChouChou mussels and baked Brie for appetizers, and they were rich and perfectly served. Then we had the rack of lamb and mushroom soufflé, which were both astonishing good for a neighborhood restaurant. This will be our go-to French restaurant in the future.More infoChou Chou BistroPrice: Moderate• French• Forest Hill / West Portal•4.3
