Best French Restaurants in Main Line

We went for lunch & shared charcuterie, cheese plate, & Trout Almondine. All were excellent. Our server, Makenzie, was delightful & attentive without being intrusive, and helpful with suggestions. The only negative was uncomfortable chairs. Otherwise, we had a lovely leisurely lunch.

Mendenhall is one of our favorite restaurants but we hadn't been to their Sunday Brunch in years. We will definitely be returning soon. It is one of the best brunch buffets I have been to. Great variety- a raw bar with shrimp, oysters, smoked salmon and more, a salad bar, an omelet station, soup, side dishes for the omelet, pasteries, a prime rib station and a huge dessert table that featured bananas foster. You also get mimosas and coffee, tea, or soda. But the true bonus you get at Mendenhall is the service and the welcoming atmosphere. They make you feel special from the time you enter to the time you leave. Andy is a remarkable server (I always ask for him) and our used dishes were cleared as soon as we left to go to the buffet for a refill. Very attentive and so very pleasant. Great waiter, everyone super friendly, love the venison!

Crepes were a fan favorite. Had the soups. Both worth it. Try the lavender (gin) cocktail. Definitely going back. Enough options we’ll take teenagers back with us.

Overall, I had a great experience. This French bistro was lovely and the service was wonderful. The food was very good and the ambience/vibe was very pleasant and soothing.  I would definitely recommend and return.
