Cocktails were enjoyed as we made our choice from a range of French Classic dishes with a modern twist. Confit of Duck a L’Orange and the Bourguignon were chosen, followed by French cheese for two. A very reasonably priced Red Wine, a Granache added to our delight.More infoCôte Brasserie - BarbicanPrice: Moderate• French• Barbican•4.5

The service was probably 5.5 stars even thought the waiters were Italian not French but for me good service is attentive at all time while not being intrusive. My wife had one cocktail with the meal and wash tentative in ordering and the waiter watached observantly and when she was not drinking came and asked if everything was OK and she said she would have liked it a little more sweet than sour so he took it away and adjusted. Happy wife happy life as they say.More infoLe Cafe du MarchePrice: Very Expensive• French• Barbican•4.7

A good few year since I had been but Galvin La Chapelle is just as good as it ever was!More infoGalvin La ChapellePrice: Very Expensive• French• Liverpool Street•4.6

They leave you alone and there's been no pressure to leave or turn the table when I've eaten there at lunch. Rare find and normally has availability. Perfect hidden gem for a small side plate and a glass of Cremant when shopping in Spitalfields too.More infoThe Market Coffee HousePrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Liverpool Street•4.6
