A former travel agent in our beloved Fitzrovia (64’s older siblings Portland and Clipstone are just round the corner), we were hugely excited by the opportunity this blank slate of a site afforded us.We’ve been able to build from the bottom up, and therefore design every inch of space to meet our hope for 64 Goodge Street. From the wonderfully winter lite frontage to the beautifully curated interior, in its very tastefully varied forms, you ask can the food and service possibly hope to match this? Well, it most certainly does. Please don’t make the rash mistake I did, and worry the menu isn’t extensive enough. Also do not leave without at least looking at the huge bowl of chocolate mouse, and try to resist it when you do. Oh and the duck and the fish soup, are off the clock.

We all enjoyed the food and the Chocolate fondant dessert was one of the best I have ever had. So light, not too rich or sweet. Lamb dishes were cooked extremely well, 3 people in our group loved them and fish mains also cooked very well. Only downside was restaurant was cold as it is winter. Staff who served us were lovely and polite led by the main waiter we had named Jonti (hope I spelt correctly). Hopefully will return later in the year and eat out on the terrace area they have.

What an incredible experience. Amazing live jazz band, intimate setting, fresh seafood (including oysters)! It feels like a local treasure and I’m so glad I found this spot. I’ll be returning soon.
